In an effort to maintain safety
and to comply with existing State and Federal laws and
regulations concerning hazardous and toxic waste, the
following is a list of items we cannot accept in our yard:
- - Unacceptable Scrap Scrap that contains Asbestos material
- - Excessively greasy or oily scrap
- - Undrained auto transmissions or motor blocks (oil filters and oil pans must be removed)
- - Oil filters, gas filters or any other filters
- - Lead batteries or pieces of batteries
- - Closed or sealed barrels and drums. - Open drums must be triple rinsed - NO residue
- - Sealed containers or cylinders
- - Non metallic such as wood, concrete, glass, plastic, insulation, dirt, or garbage
- - Radioactive equipment or containers
- - Oil insulated transformers or their cases, rectifiers, capacitors, etc.
- - Steel transformer or electric motor laminations
- - Compressors, capacitors and mercury switches from appliances
- - Light fixture ballasts
- - Explosives or explosive military scrap
- - Rubber coated items or tires
- - Paint cans or containers that contained pesticides, etc.
- - Welding rod
- - Brake shoes
- - Steel cable (over 3' in length) unless -coiled in 4 foot rolls and secured with a minimum of 4 bands
- - Any item that is a hazardous or toxic waste

What is needed from sellers are detailed photos from different angles showing what is available. Upon receipt of these detailed photos the sellers staff will estimate the percentage of copper, aluminum, steel, iron and other metals, then a quote will be issued..
